Supporting our Nation in a MOM curve of History

in this mail exchange, we introduce an intuitive

notion, for further reflection and re-thinking

(either defining, redoing – or rejecting it)

A “MOM” = 1) Help, mom, I’m really badly cornered!

2) A joint Minsky-and-Obama Moment

Today, 2.03 pm GMT

Dear The Nation,
it is such a big pleasure to participate to this Utopian adventure as it is: trying to curb reality and its Spinozian gravitation towards even more oppression and exploitation, and doing it exactly in this Minsky-and-Obama Moment (help, MOM!), when everything might go either for the better – or for the irreversibly worst.
In a (more or less) globalised chain of events: I support The Nation for strict egoistic and nationalistic reasons: can’t see any future for my family, my 2  little grandchildren and Italy, unless sharing your cultural battles together.

Dear Nation Reader,

Katrina vanden Heuvel

I want to personally thank you for your gift to The Nation. Especially as our magazine grapples with an undemocratic and devastating postage rate increase, please know how much we appreciate your support. In all honesty, you are the lifeblood of this publication — The Nation simply wouldn’t exist without your support and readership.

When this magazine was first published in 1865, its founders had no idea The Nation would become one of America’s most prominent and longest running weeklies. But here we are today, a resounding and passionate voice within the progressive community. We credit that success entirely to you, our dedicated supporters. Through thick and thin, The Nation community has stood strong against repeated attacks on our magazine’s critical reporting. Your generous contribution continues that tradition.

In appreciation of your vital support to The Nation, if you are not yet a subscriber, we want to offer you four issues of The Nation for free. You’ll enjoy premium access to bold, thought-provoking commentary by leaders of the progressive movement.

Again, thank you so much for your support. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Sincerely,
Katrina vanden Heuvel
