who’s anonymous?

BY THE WAY, 2-DAY is HR (Human Rights) DAY, remembering 1948.

Their Dec. 10 Press Release:

http://dump.no/files/467072ba2a42/ANONOPS_The_Press_Release.pdf

What is Operation: Payback

As stated above, the point of Operation: Payback was never to target critical infrastructure of any of the companies or  organizations affected.  Rather  than doing that,  we focused on their  corporate websites,  which is  to say,  their  online “public  face”.  It  is  a symbolic  action –  as  blogger  and academic Evgeny Morozov put it, a legitimate expression of dissent.

Unbelievable! Even cybernetic cynic (cc) Anonymous BELIEVES IN SANTA KLAUS! He lives now in Amazon, no more in Siberia:

Simply put, attacking a major online retailer when people are buying presents for their loved ones, would be in bad taste.

Anonymous quote Morozov in their support; read his interview in the Christian Science Monitor:

And his reply to Anonymous, on twitter:

evgenymorozov Evgeny Morozov

Since Anonymous quote me in that document, let me make it clear: “legitimate expression of dissent” is only 1 possible function of DDoS 1/2

But DDoS also has many other functions/uses, most of which I don’t endorse. Source for my quote: http://goo.gl/uwI9b 2/2

Carlo Freccero, the media expert today in Il Fatto Q., argues hat Wikileaks is THE New Paradigm vs Journalism:

Save private Julian Assange

Wikileaks is under global attack by bipartisanly corrupted politicians, such as the bloody Hillary Clinton (her  sucked Bill did a lot of advertising in the 1990s of Internet as “end of history” definitive freedom; this couple of bastards definitely SUCKS). Meanwhile, a Swedish nazifeminist wh*** pretends she has been raped by Julian (while the opposite is much more likely).

Today libertarian pirates counter-attacked, by blocking Mastercard site. On these dynamics, a good paper is:

Evg. Morozov on the  Christian Science Monitor (http://www.csmonitor.com/layout/set/print/content/view/print/347920)

Also in Italy, as everywhere we organise Julian’s defence and our counter-attack as angry citizens. INCAZZATI!

The Guardian blog excerpts:

12.03pm: There’s been lots of reaction all over the world so it’s high time for a summary.

• Senior US politicians have launched a series of scathing attacks against WikiLeaks. US Republican senator Peter King, chair of the House homeland security committee said Wikileaks should be treated as a terrorist organisation (…)
• The UN pointedly reminded the US that the UN is supposed to be treated as inviolable, after the cables showed diplomats had been ordered to spy on the UN leadership (7.23am). Britain’s former ambassador to the US, Sir Christopher Meyer, said it was wrong to interpret the cables as an order to spy, a point challenged by Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger (8.30am).

(…) (SCAMPATO PERICOLO:)

• Silvio Berlusconi laughed when he was told about the cables (9.09am).

11.28am: Der Speigel, one of the five media organisations including the Guardian to have had access to the cables, has a new roundup of the reaction.

It says one of the few countries which may stand to benefit from the revelations appears to be Israel.

“These (disclosures) don’t hurt Israel at all — perhaps the opposite,” Giora Eiland, a former national security adviser to ex-prime ministers Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert, told Israeli radio. “If there is something on the Iranian issue that, in my opinion, happens to help Israel, it is that these leaks show that Arab countries like Saudi Arabia are far more interested in Iran than they are in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Sacco e Vanzetti!

DO YOU REMEMBER THEM,  Mud-Party YANKEE?
